Born to ride.
For us, riding is more than a way to get from Point A to Point B. It’s our passion. Our lifeblood. Our first love. We ride up mountain passes and down to the grocery store. In sunshine and rain. We’re moved by two wheels, and we’d like to share our passion for riding with you. We’re skilled in outdoor leadership, first aid, bike repair, and know our way around the kitchen— not to mention a spoke wrench. Here’s an overview of who we are. Consider it your sneak peek.
Ben Leber
Ben’s been riding since he was knee-high to a handlebar. He and his wife have toured the roads and trails of the western states, New England, Chile and Argentina. A number of years ago Ben decided to change from the corporate world to the world of Wild Heart Cycling. A member of the National Ski Patrol, Ben has extensive training in first aid.

Celia Leber
Celia loves food almost as much as she loves cycling. She's the mastermind behind our gourmet meals. Learn more about the our food philosophy at Foodism. Celia is also a member of National Ski Patrol.

Eugene Cathcart
From a young age Eugene has made cycling a focal point of his life. He has toured throughout New Zealand, explored the hinterlands of Oregon and ridden throughout the Northwest. When not guiding for Wild Heart Cycling you can find him working as a bike mechanic in Oakridge, OR or plunging down a trail in the mountains surrounding Oakridge. Eugene is one of the smoothest – fastest amateur mountain bikers in the area. His dirt unicycle manufacturing and riding exploits are well documented in an Oregon Public Broadcasting TV show. Although the show did bring him some fame he still has not made the jump to politics. Eugene is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Andrew Jensen
Andrew has seen more of the world from the seat of a bike than most of us will ever see. He has ridden across the U.S., explored Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland, and more recently traveled through Ecuador, Mexico and other points south of the border. Andrew has also toured extensively in our own backyard, the Pacific Northwest. He is a graduate of Washington State University. When touring with Andrew be sure to tap his knowledge of Oregon geology and natural history. Andrew is a certified Wilderness First Responder in addition to a qualified communicator with cows.

Dan Broyles
Dan developed a love for cycling growing up in the rural areas of Eastern Oregon. Like all our guides you would be hard pressed to find a friendlier person. In addition to being a great cook Dan possesses very strong emergency care skills. When not guiding or spending time with his family you will find him in the back of an ambulance taking care of the injured. Dan’s other job is a paramedic in the local fire department.

Matt Wilkin
Matt first joined Wild Heart Cycling as a client and had such a good time he decided to guide for us. Matt was born and raised in Oregon though he did attend college in New England. His outdoor experience comes from doing horsepacking trips all across Oregon. When he’s not riding his steel steed you will probably find him riding his real steed. Matt possesses a strong set of “MacGyver” skills in addition to being a ski patroller.

“What was your best experience? The riding/guiding part of your company is great. We loved it and want to be able to take more trips. The route to the coast, down and back were fun. Andrew was a great guide. Helpful and flexible.
“Good luck with your company. We like it and hope to do another. Maybe the Cascade Mountain Road Tour at some later date. Daryl doesn’t want to camp unless its Hawaii! Thanks again very much.”
