Experience handcrafted wines, gourmet food, and quiet roads in the fertile Willamette Valley. Each day you will have the opportunity to sample artisan wines from local vineyards followed by a gourmet meal at a fine restaurant.
On this relaxed tour we begin by following the Willamette River downstream to the Wheatland Ferry where we cross the Willamette River. We spend our first two nights in the heart of Oregon’s Pinot Noir region, Carlton. From this sleepy town we explore the rural countryside, sample artisan wines and dine on gourmet meals. From Carlton we ride to Corvallis along some of the Valley’s quietest roads. Following a delicious meal in a fine French restaurant you can take a stroll along the Willamette River. For our final day of touring we’ll follow the Willamette River downstream back to Salem.
Daily mileages for these wine country bike tours are 37, 67, and 43 miles (during touring days, with an optional 20-40 mile ride on the rest day).
